WellAware launches Welcome Spaces directory to support communities across Bristol and South Gloucestershire

WellAware is one of the many projects provided by TCF, a charity based in Fishponds, Bristol that has been working to reduce health inequality for 20 years.

WellAware is proud to announce the launch of the Welcome Spaces section on the trusted online directory of services, providing individuals and communities with easy access to local, welcoming and supportive spaces across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

The Welcome Spaces programme aims to connect people with inclusive venues offering resources, activities, or simply a safe environment for meeting others. Whether it's community centres, libraries, or faith spaces, these locations provide an important service to those seeking warmth, companionship and a sense of belonging.

Supporting communities through collaboration
By working closely with local organisations, WellAware has created a user-friendly, comprehensive platform that enables people to find and access Welcome Spaces in their area. The directory highlights available facilities, opening hours and any specific support offered. This ensures users can make informed choices about the spaces best suited to their needs.

Why Welcome Spaces matter
At a time when isolation and financial pressures affect so many, Welcome Spaces offer relief, connection and practical assistance to those who need it most. These spaces are not just about providing warmth; they build a sense of community, encouraging everyone to feel welcome and supported.

A simple way to get involved
Organisations and groups offering welcoming environments are invited to register their spaces on the WellAware directory. By joining, they can reach more people in need and play a role in building resilient, connected communities.
