Are you waiting to have a carer's assessment with adult social care?

We'd like to hear from people living in South Gloucestershire about their experience of needing a care assessment for adult social care, and what care and support you need at home and in their daily life to remain independent.

We'll be running focus groups throughout March on Zoom to hear your experiences. We'd particularly like to hear from more unpaid carers - people over the age of 18 caring for someone and not receiving support in this role.

All focus group participants will be given a high street shopping voucher to thank you for your contribution.

Up to 1.5 million disabled people could be missing out on social care support

According to estimates by Healthwatch England, up to 1.5 million working-age disabled people in England could need social care support but are not accessing it. This means they are likely to be missing out on help with daily activities such as washing, cleaning, socialising, and going to the shops.
