NHS Nightingale Bristol will open to day patients
Next week the NHS Nightingale Hospital Bristol, which was created to treat very ill Covid-patients, will offer a paediatric day case service for patients from Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) as well as a new high-volume eye assessment hub for patients at Bristol Eye Hospital (BEH). No inpatient or Covid-19 care will be undertaken at the hospital at the same time as these services. It is currently on standby and will revert back to an intensive care facility for Covid if needed.
Have you used a hospital service recently? Has one of your appointments been cancelled or rearranged over Zoom or another platform and if so did this work for you? Tell Healthwatch here https://www.healthwatchbristol.co.uk/share-your-views
Note for patients - while these services are being provided at the Nightingale, other services are continuing to be provided at BEH and BRHC, so if you or your child is booked for an appointment please check the location on your appointment letter.
