Community welcome spaces set up to help South Glos residents struggling with rising energy prices
A network of community welcome spaces has been set up this winter where people can go to keep warm and socialise. These are free to use, friendly and safe. Some may offer hot drinks, activities and other services.
Welcome spaces are also known as warm spaces or public living rooms. They are being set up across the country to help people during the cost of living crisis.
Find your nearest warm space on the South Gloucestershire Council website.
All libraries in South Gloucestershire also provide a warm and friendly space to stay for as long as you like within our opening times. Many libraries have coffee and tea-making facilities available during staffed hours.
Libraries are also open 7 days a week with additional unstaffed hours provided by the council's Open Access scheme.
