Have your say: what keeps you happy, healthy and well?
The way the NHS is structured has changed. On 1 July, Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) were formally established across England, replacing Clinical Commissioning Groups. ICSs aim to improve health and wellbeing, reduce inequalities, and provide health and care services for local people.
The ICS for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire has launched a nine-week public engagement exercise to inform its future priorities, and wants to hear your feedback on what keeps you well, what support you need to keep well, and what stops you from keeping well.
There will be a range of ways for you to have your say, including face-to-face events and an online survey.
Healthwatch welcome the launch of the ICS and look forward to working with NHS organisations, local authorities and other partners to join up health and care around our local populations.
Georgie Bigg, Chair of Healthwatch Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, said: "as the local, independent champion for users of health and care services, we are particularly keen to make sure that people’s voices are heard by health and care providers while supporting ICS colleagues with this summer’s engagement exercise. I encourage everyone to take part and share your views so that services are designed that truly meet your needs."
Our ICS is comprised of 10 partner organisations, including the three Local Authorities, NHS Trusts, and community and General Practice providers. It is also known as the Healthier Together Partnership.
Key elements of the ICS are the Integrated Care Partnership, ntegrated Care Board, and Locality Partnerships. As the local health and care advocacy body, we're a member of the Integrated Care Board.

Insights gathered over the course of the nine-week engagement will help the ICS prepare a strategy to meet the health and wellbeing needs of the local population over the next two, five, 10 and 20 years. The engagement exercise will run until midnight on 2 September 2022.
