Webinar to share latest information on Covid-19 vaccine for over 50s

To support the over 50’s, South Gloucestershire Council, Healthwatch South Gloucestershire and the region's Over 50s Forum organised an event with local representatives from the NHS and Public Health, to provide guidance and answer questions.

This was an event for Befrienders, practitioners, voluntary sector organisations/anyone that supports people that are over 50 to explore all the issues around vaccines and discuss protecting the over 50’s and the community after having the vaccine.

Healthwatch South Glos's Area Lead, Maisy Griffiths, said: "We understand that the over 50s have been especially affected by isolation during the pandemic.

We wanted to discuss what support is out there for the over 50’s to reduce isolation and increase wellbeing. It's important to listen to what people in the community think will help as we move forward and looking at ways of living with Covid-19."
